Even if you’re not a huge fan of pink as a color, adding some to your face is a really easy way to give yourself a healthy and natural look, like someone thought you were so stinking cute that they pinched your cheeks for a week. These are picks for those stinking cute looks!
One: NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Tokyo – Great to throw over another lipstick for dimension, just in the middle of the lips.
Two: Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Native – This swatch is actually “illicit” which doesn’t seem to be available anymore, strangely enough since I bought it in the last six months. “Native” seems incredibly similar though.
Three: Chanel Rouge Coco in Triomphe – Expensive, but an incredible formula and this coral-pink shade is unlike any other lipstick I own.
Four: NARS Audacious Lipstick in Anita – Also expensive. I wasn’t planning to buy anything from this line, but this dusty rose color is really stunning. I still haven’t seen another shade like it.
Five: BITE Luminous Creme Lipstick in Granache – A great, creamy formula with a glossy finish. I don’t have plenty of cool pinks and this is beautiful.
Six: BITE Mix N Mingle Lip Mini in Palomino – I love this mini. It’s a double sided lipstick, priced well with two beautiful shades on either side.
Seven: Mac Retro Matte in Flat Out Fabulous – If you can handle a dry lipstick, you should try this formula out because this stuff goes NOWHERE once it touches your lips. You can always put a little balm on top to make things more comfortable.
Eight: Bite Beauty High Pigment Pencil in Winterberry – OOPS a limited edition shade wound up in here. It looks red in the swatch, but in person it’s a nice raspberry shade. These pencils are a really interesting mixture of pigment and creaminess without sacrificing one or the other. A close shade is quince in the same collection.
NAILS AND BLUSH
One (pictured above): Mac Dollymix blush is so bright and pretty. It also has a slight shimmer that gives your cheeks a glow without being obviously glittery.
Two: Deborah Lippmann 99 Luftballoons nail polish reminds me of a child’s birthday party with the rainbow glitter. I’m into it.
Three: Essie Eternal Optimist is a shade I’ve seen on multiple skin tones and it is always complimentary. It acts as a nude in that it blends with the skin, but is slightly more interesting.
Four: NYX Cream Blush in Natural is perfect for summer because cream blushes last longer on the face, which is good for extreme temperatures. In “natural” it looks healthy and pretty.
One: MAC Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in More To Love has a really dry formula which does not come off. It’s great for a long night out.
Two: NYX Slim Lip Pencil in Rose goes with almost everything. These lip pencils are just the bomb. They’re $3.49 each and aren’t too drying.
Three: Chanel Makeup Lip Liner in Raspberry Red is such a cool shade because I wear it with both pink and red. Wearing it with red softens the look and the formula is really nice.
Four: Buxom Full-On Lip Polish in Sophia has a nice, light consistency. I love layering this over my other pink lipsticks for a little shine.
