This is what happens when you have pounds (literally) laying around. I was in London last week and had a serious “treat yo self moment” in honor of Parks and Recreation ending this week (that’s what I’m telling myself). Yup, me too Donna. I was in a taxi on my way to go shopping on Bond Street when I saw this sign at Fenwick. Needless to say, I got the hell out of that cab. I had heard nothing but good things about the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream for dry skin, and I was in need of a good moisturizer so I’m giving this a try. I also got the Wonder Glow Instant Soft Focus Beauty Flash which could just as easily be called “Primer”, Charlotte. Really. This stuff has the look and consistency of a liquid highlighter so I’m definitely curious about that. Lastly I got the Goddess Skin Clay Mask, mostly because the sales associate was so good to be honest. I’ll do a review of all of these items next week once I’ve used them a few times.
Then I got this Nars Contour Blush duo. Mine is in the shade “Paloma” which is the mid-toned option. The powder is super fine, so it blends into the skin beautifully. I have very strong feelings about these heavy, full-faced contours that we’ve been seeing lately so you won’t be seeing me do any of those looks with this. It’s great to throw a subtle little chisel on your face, though.
At the airport I had pounds burning a hole in my pocket so I went where I don’t usually dare go; Chanel. I got this Illusion D’Ombre cream eyeshadow in Mirifique and Soleil Tan Sheer Illuminating Fluid. If you read this post then you know about my recent interest in cream/liquid products for a more supple and natural look. I’m still determined to look like a glowing island goddess once you see my face under my scarf, hat and hood. I still have hope.
